Hello, and thank you for being out there with this wonderful website.
I am under a very black star-studded sky, opposite the Moroccan Coast in Spain, about 6 miles up the Coast from the Rock of Gibraltar.
Each night I go onto the balcony and listen to the crickets, and looking up I see , to the left, the Plough of Ursa Major. ( I am an absolute amateur, I didn't know it was called this until yesterday).
Almost directly above is a bright object, I don't know if it is a star or a planet but it is by far the brightest object in the sky.
I have tried to locate it in the maps on this site, but can't find it.
Does anyone know this part of ths sky and could possibly tell me what it is?
Thank you.
Joe.
