It would be really nice if you could control the zoom using the scroll wheel, like in Google Maps, so you can keep the mouse on the spot you are interested in. (I use Win/Firefox)

Looking forward to spending many more hours here.

I like scroll wheel feature in googlemaps and I agree with you it would be nice to have it on our sky map. I put request in our TODO list:
